Why Revolut is actually a game-changer

In this post, I want to explain why using Revolut is not just useful, but honestly one of the best, most cost-effective products available today. At least here in the UK, where I am based.

If you’re reading this, you might have come from my previous post How to get your VPN for next to nothing. If not, you might be wondering why you should consider getting a VPN, but more on that later, with the final reveal at the bottom of the page.

The Power of the Premium Account

If you’re willing to upgrade to a Revolut Premium Account, it costs around £90 a year (you can also pay monthly). The best part? You get a NordVPN “Standard” subscription included in that price!

Honestly, for many people, the NordVPN subscription alone makes the account worth it. But Revolut doesn’t stop there.

What else do you get?

The list of goodies you get with a Premium account is actually quite impressive. Here are a few of the bits and bobs included:

  • NordVPN Standard
  • Perplexity Pro
  • Uber One
  • Tinder Plus
  • Picsart Pro
  • …and plenty more. You can check out the full list on their official site.

It’s a proper bank

I’m not sure about other countries, but here in the UK, Revolut is now fully recognised as a bank. But my favourite part isn’t the status, it’s the security.

There is one unbeatable feature: the Disposable Virtual Card.

If you’re shopping on a website you haven’t used before and feel a bit iffy about it, you should use this. It’s a single-use card that the Revolut app generates for you automatically every single time. Once you pay, that card “self-destructs,” making it impossible for anyone to charge it again.

Five years and counting

I’ve been using Revolut for at least five years now, and I wouldn’t be without it.

Just to be clear, this is NOT a referral link—I just genuinely think it’s a great bit of kit. You can find them here: https://www.revolut.com/
